In the inaugural year of AP Physics here at Lincoln Charter, some class periods can be tough for some students. It’s a rare occurrence for eyewitnesses not to view a Jack Beasley crash-out from the times between 12:00 p.m. and 12:55 p.m.

However, the class has observed a remarkable shift in their moods in the presence of two of their cherished and loved classmates. The moment Wesley Deister and Patrick Terry walk into the room, the sun outside just starts to feel just that much brighter.
“It was like putting on a blindfold when looking at Connor,” said Hayden Frazier trying to describe his sense of relief. He goes on, "One minute, I feel like I am about to explode, the next, I see and feel nothing but pure bliss."
Experts suggest that the presence of supportive or entertaining friends can dramatically reduce physics-related despair, which is confusing, as both Patrick and Wesley don’t display anything close to these positive traits.

Mr. Tranquilino himself is even more enamored, "I love all my students, but two stand out clearly. Wesley Deister and Patrick Terry are my favorites."
As for the rest of the students, they report that physics is "still terrible," but survivable—as long as Wesley and Patrick show up on time.
